My name is Sandra Romanski. Whether it be through yoga or dance, my goal is to provide tools that will empower you to find a feeling of home within yourself.

Come celebrate National Dance Day with us at Home Within Movement. We will be hosting FREE dance classes to the community. We have classes for ages 6 through adult! 

 

Schedule for Saturday, September 16th at Quinn's Cages (2364 E. Northern Ave)

 

10:00-11:00 Adult Tap 

11:00-11:30 Mini Ballet ages 6+ 

11:30-12:15 Jazz ages 9+ 

 

If you come out and celebrate with us for National Dance Day you can receive a 2 for 1 special to join a class of your choice for the remainder of September for just $15!

 

"This is an annual event celebrated the third Saturday in September. It began in 2010 by Nigel Lythgoe and congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton as a means to express support for dance and movement to inspire people of all ages to incorporate dance in their daily lives!"

This one of a kind program was created with care and research on how yoga can help manage the effects of anxiety. Join Sandra for this 8 week program to create more ease in your every day living! 

When?

This program runs on Monday's from 5:30-7:00 pm from October 2nd- November 20th

What makes this program different?

Sandra is  currently in schooling for her yoga therapy certification and must complete an extensive evaluation process that meets high quality education standards. She has studied specifically how yoga can be beneficial with managing the affects of anxiety and created it with you in mind. She reached out to her community beforehand and asked what individuals experienced when anxiety was present in their lives and kept that in mind as she was creating her program. She also has grown up with anxiety herself and has experienced only one episode of anxiety in the past 8 years that she was able to unwind herself out of in two minutes with the knowledge and tools she has picked up over the years. This is her personal story, know that everyone's story will be different. There will also be a licensed therapist present and available for any additional support. If you are open to rewriting your story with anxiety, register today!

20-30 minute pre & post individual sessions

What is the structure of the class?

The first 15 minutes there will be time for connection, check in, and homework review. 

1 hour yoga segment which may include a gentle yoga practice, visualizations, breathing techniques to bring calm and balance into the nervous system, somatic practices, and more. 

 

The last 15 minutes will be going over a journal prompt, homework and a practical tool you may start implementing throughout the week.

Cultivating Connections

Interested in the Cultivating Connections program?

Grab 3 of your besties and let's get to work! I will run this course with private groups or companies. Must have at least 4 participants to run.

In this course we will: 

  • Set our path towards self growth through small changes in our daily routine.

  • Create effective communication by practicing generous listening, sharing and processing new material.

  • Ignite a clear sense of purpose through meditations and journaling.

  • Learn breathing techniques to bring balance to the nervous system.

  • Bring back a sense of joy and playfulness.

When you put all of these elements together, this sparks a true connection to self. You begin to feel the confidence within you and to show up authentically.  When you find this within yourself, you invite others to do the same and that’s when real, meaningful connections can occur. We all begin to feel more like we belong and have support within our communities. 

This is a 6 week program. We will meet once a week for two hours. This program will have some home-play. Home-play is the exploration of the ideas and concepts of the class on your own time. You will receive weekly emails to help solidify the course work. They will include a brief overview of the class as well as any additional resource links that you may want to check out.

FAQs

  • What if I have to miss a session?

    • Emails will be sent out with a brief overview including links to resources discussed during class.

  • How will the COVID-19 guidelines be observed? 

    • Face masks are optional.

    • Hand sanitizer will be provided.

    • If you have further concerns please call so we may accommodate your needs.

  • What should I bring?

    • Please bring a pencil/ pen, water or drink of choice, comfortable clothes and walking shoes. A journal and other materials will be provided.

    • During this two hour session we will have a 10 minute break if you would like to bring a snack to enjoy during this time.

  • Do I need a yoga mat? 

    • No, we will have a brief standing or sitting movement section and the remainder of class we will be seated.

Did you know we offer a yoga video subscription?

There are a number of benefits of a consistent yoga practice. Some of those benefits may include stress resilience, chronic pain management, and it may help spark your sense of joy.

Whether you have 5 minutes or time for a full on yoga class, this video subscription has you covered. There are short videos for when you are feeling like a quick check in with your body, which include breathing practices, meditations or short yoga segments, as well as hour long classes. There is even 6 videos made for kids. Each month videos get added to your selection.
